“Memories” by Alissa Demars

I’m trapped in these faded memories

The ones I fear the most

The horror when night must fall

It’s so dark and I can hardly see your face

Though I know who you are

I feel you touching me

Your soft and gentle words

But I know this is wrong

Yet I can do nothing, nothing to stop it!

You move my hand up closer

To places I shouldn’t know

Just a young girl

lost and scared

A young and fragile soul

I lie awake at night

Afraid to close my eyes

Afraid to see your face again.
