“Reminisce” by Carrie Anne Gauthier Okkerse

I never saw love

And I never lost love

Is what all the men would say

A lot of faith blew her way on a cold winter’s day

But she’d shy away

Wondering who they were born to

Hoping they would all learn how to rise above

She flew, she weeps

But distant as it may seem

She may not have ever flown

If it weren’t for the men that took their wings

She bounced back like it was nothing

Faith begot her
