“From the Darkness to the Light” by Maggie Sue Traynor

Life is like a river—it starts out a little rough, then works its way into the steady flow of life.
When we first come into this world, we are surrounded by darkness, then we re-enter the light. The transition we are expected to initiate can be like the river. Starts out a little rough, then we reappear into the steady flow of life. In the beginning we are unable to take care of ourselves. We are dependent on our parents. They nurture us, love us, and prepare us for what lies ahead.

Life, God too is our loving Father. He is with us from the moment of conception, as we enter his world, we do not enter alone, Abba provides us with angels, which we refer to as our Guardian Angels. I once believed that I was privileged to have one guardian angel, now that I look back on life I now believe I may have had two. It is my understanding, because of the original sin, that we are born into darkness and by the blessings of God he allows us to return to the light. We are blessed with a second chance to make things right.

Like the serpent in the garden who tempted Eve with the fruit from the forbidden tree, the tree of     knowledge, the serpent, Satan, tries to disillusion us with drugs, alcohol, illicit sex. The answer to all our problems, yet Satan, the father of all deception, it is not his intention to help us; he wants to lead us down the wrong path.  He wants to disengage us from our loving Father, God, whose love is unconditional. He loves us so much he gave his only son to pay the price for the sin of all mankind.

Like the river, it starts out a little rough, then works its way into the steady flow of life, as it nears the end, the flow of the river will once again become rough, for it is near the end where there are important decisions to be made. In which direction will the water continue to flow, as compared to which direction will your life take you, when the time runs out… If you choose to follow God, you will return to the light.

If you choose to follow Satan, you will be in for the shock of your existence. You will have to face the lake of fire, there will be eternal darkness, and once the decision has been handed down there will be no way out.

We are in the end times; as for when the world will end, that is totally up to God. Mankind is not privy to this information, nor is he privy to how the world will end. I believe that before  God confides in mankind, He will confide in his son. Mankind has made these predictions in the past and has been sadly mistaken. If I have to choose between the predictions of mankind or God, I will choose God.

As for the latest prediction for the world to end on December 21, 2012, I guess this means we will not have to worry about putting up a tree, buying presents, or life’s little problems, being homeless, not having enough food to eat. As for me, I do not believe the world will end Dec, 21, 2012. I believe God has plans for me, I do not believe he will let me off the hook that easily.
