“My Final Words” by Maggie Sue Traynor

You do not listen, you do not care
Then what in the hell are you doing there
You are so stubborn, you do not hear
Your life is so empty, it’s perfectly clear.
I honestly feel that you don’t belong
I tell you my position, you say I’m wrong
You make comments that are out of place
You hide behind problems you cannot face.
So go on with your head up in the air
As if anyone really cares.
They’re nice to your face, it takes quite a knack
When you’re not paying attention they’ll stab you in the back.
What I have to say I can say to your face
With class, dignity and grace.
