Take a peak at a few of the photos from our recent Grit Uplifted Creative Writing & Arts Magazine – Issue #2 Release Event, a free public reading and art exhibit in the Stevenson & Hunt Room at the Central Library on Tuesday April 17, 2012.
The evening was a great success, with 9 writers from the Grit Uplifted Creative Writing Group and several visual artists from The New School of Colour sharing their inspiring work with a packed room. Congratulations to all of the participants at the event, and all of the contributors to the magazine that were not in attendance. I have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and rave reviews from individuals that were at the event and have seen the magazine–your stories and images have touched so many people, so thank you for sharing!
